Illustration | Light Studies
This piece is a digital illustration inspired by a live show I attended, where I was struck by how the stage lighting wrapped around the performer in such a dynamic and expressive way. I created this artwork as part of an ongoing personal practice in light studies—something I consistently return to in order to sharpen my understanding of mood, form, and atmosphere.
I’m always learning, and a big part of that process for me is observation—drawing inspiration from everyday experiences and translating them into visual studies. In this case, I wanted to explore how intense stage lights interact with the human figure in motion: how they define shapes, cast shadows, and evoke emotion.
